Sabre, you must admit that the secretary used the full weight of her office to try and block those counts, and thus the delays. It was quite simple, Gore had no downside in asking for recouint and even state wide recount, Bush could only lose, so she did his bidding and quite successfully. I think neither camps really cared much about the "Voters right", while the court did, IMHO.

Its the logistics and part of the reason why the FL statutes had a deadline. The deadlines allow for protests to be filed and heard b/4 the final date of selection of the representatives for the electorial college. I think FL has to select some time by 2nd week of Dec.

It is a mess.
