"sold" to people by men like Wilder

Wilder is responsible for many of the most popular forms of Technical Analysis, of which you are a proponent according to your profile.

What you are saying, it seems, is that you will buy into his Relative Strength analysis, for example, but not another analysis.

As it happens; over the past few years this technique has been used on this thread many times. Sometimes it works very well. Generally, the idea is to look for a turn in the market at such and such a time during the course of the day.

That's where the if/then comes into play. If it goes this way, one looks for this. If it goes that way one looks for that. SE is just working with it, trying to get it to where he is comfortable with it. His discussion of it is just an observation.

Mocking someone for their efforts was probably asking for it, so to speak. His attempt to predict may seem vague to you but it isn't something that he pretends to be perfect at. What it does for him is allow him a plan to trade ahead of the Open. He understands it, and that is what is important.

You may be looking to trade a breakout off a trendline or the failure of a breakout. He, on the other hand, is may be looking to trade a breakout at a particular point in time or the failure of a breakout at a particular point in time.

Just a different method.

Vanity and fluff.

You are one humorous dude.

Strike me as someone who thinks he knows it all. Well so be it. Perhaps you do. Thanks for trying to save me from myself. I will let you know when I need my butt wiped.

Please return to whereever it is you belong and leave this thread alone. My "prediction" was certainly not for your benefit. It was for my benefit and was an opening to discuss the pattern for Monday with Patrick and whomever else wished to have a reasonable discussion of the method.

I am not selling anything, nor buying anything. Besides that would be my business wouldn't it, not yours. Pompous asses like you that think they have the market cornered on who is and who is not a newbie and needs their very well considered opinions as to how to conduct themselves amaze me. Instead of being a jack ass on this thread, had you followed your post up with a few <gg> or a couple smiley faces, I would have laughed and maybe tried to teach you a bit about the patterns...because quite frankly, for a first time read of a pattern prediction, you are correct that is what is sounds like. Perhaps we could have learned something from each other. However, it appears you wish to spread venom and disgust.

Today is Sunday. Enjoy your day at church....and act however you wish the rest of the week.
