Fine, I take issue with the way you portray science and the sweeping generalizations that you make are characteristic of an mind that is twisting logic for its own purpose. I could just as easily (and wrongly) say that religion was responsible for the crusades and millions upon millions of deaths over the years.

I am against late term abortions, btw. But to say "then you miss my point that the way that a society treats its most defensless citizens dictates the character of that society" is laughable, imo. What would you have said about American society during slavery? Is an unborn, undeveloped fetus a citizen at 2 weeks after conception?

Legal abortion (in some form) is an ugly necessity in our society, imho. Just as there are acceptible civilian losses in a war.

How can you blame science?

So we should stop science? Is that your point? The advances of science are all around you, without them, it is pretty likely that you wouldn't exist at all.

<edit>

It is interesting to note that there is evidence that the sacred arc of the covenant was actually a giant electrochemical battery. Archeologists have uncovered artificats that show that electricity may have been discovered long before its time. Imagine the power and fear such an object would have invoked.. sparks, shocking to the touch... Wouldn't it be odd if people had thought they found G-D but instead found electricity considering the way humanity is EVOLVING (internet, communications, etal)?

When you have a chance, I'd appreciate a response seeing as you asked me to refute your points.
