Now that is divisive garbage. No group of people receive the desired attention by voting in a block consistently. They are taken advantage by the user (Democrat in this instance) party. Appeal to more than want party forces all parties to reach to a particular group of voters.

<< WE DO NOT REPRESENT YOU unless you become one of us and speak for us >>

Pardon me. Isn't that also true of the Demo Party? Would they represent me with my current views? Or Colin Powell with his? Or George Bush?
The GOP IS a political party. Just like the Dems. Each has a point of view and a way of viewing.

That post was so bad I'm really not sure where to start.

<< I know some disagree or deny but there is a great nasty unspoken battle going on this country and it's been going on for many decades. At its core it's mainly between conservative white men, heavy industry, rural and religious types versus not only cultural liberals and union members but the entire underclass of minorities and struggling working people. >>

It isn't just this country and it didn't start a few decades ago. This is what politics is about. Get used to it.
The only places where this is NOT true are dictatorships.

Great American Spirit, while I enjoy your spin on the power of the black voteing block.

The Black vote has gone democratic for the last number of elections in a growing fashion, this time it was overwhelming to the extent of some +90 %.

That is all well and good for now.THE RISK IS THAT these figures make blacks the most over represented Minority in America as a % of all minority groups, proportionate to the overall electorate, depending on the democrats to retain power.

It also means that should democrats not be able to sustain their other coallitions over the next six to eight years, black folks are going to find themselves riding on the back of a dead horse. Black leadership has lost all credibility with the rest of the country, so..

You are not going to hear this anywhere else, but you yourself better study the demographic data and compare it with other trends in that same data. Jews for instance have lessened their blind idolatry of the democrats by 8% this year, and the younger jews are leaving at a faster rate.

Many blacks are so hell bent to stay on the political top, they are failing to see what is happening to the very horse they be riding.

BlACK LEADERSHIP better pay closer attention to the entire electorate, THEY WILL BE IN in for a rude awakening if the data we are seeing is as right, as we think it is.

<<I know some disagree or deny but there is a great nasty unspoken battle going on this country and it's been going on for many decades. ...At its extreme its socialism vs. fascism, racism and sexism vs white man's burden, polluters vs. environment, pacifists vs. hawks.>>
while i agree with you that there is a kind of unspoken battle shaping up, i think your descriptions of the differing camps are a little too colored by your personal bias.
societal conservatism as opposed to societal liberalism is a little better. anyways- my point is History shows many examples of what could be called 'Pendulum Swings' in one direction or another. typically, swing towards conservatism is during times of economic duress- when people start getting afraid and revert back to that which they feel will sustain them thru 'tough times'
i have been debating with myself if this is starting to happen now in the u.s.
dunno- but i think this election has certainly served as a catalyst to awaken the more conservatively minded- i think the democrats may come to regret this.
but again i don't know- speculating.
also- WHO is THE LARGEST growing minority in the US?
HISPANICS- culturally, a darwinian-minded people(survival of the fittest is greatly admired- they are not a liberal-minded population imho)
