coug,

Sounds like you want to abolish States Rights, and put everything under the umbrella of the federal government in DC. Why don't you just advocate the erasing of state boundries, eliminate the state funding of highways not covered by federal money, deny the states control over the education of their children, eliminate state penitentiaries, etc? Do you think that will help the federal budget any??

While you're at it, why don't you go to the higher level of a "one world" government, so no people can live in a land that is sovereign from another? Just lump the whole world under one flag, and let a commitee from the UN run everything. Wouldn't that be peachy keen??? ~H~

Coug,

I agree with you for the first two, but draw the line with having the feds run the elections. What I would like to see are federal rules for all elections that are federal and let the states set their own rules for all others. This would only have to happen every 4 years that the federal rules apply over all else. I also agree that I would like to see the surplus used to provide everyone woth the same voting and counting machines so everyone is playing with the same deck!!
