John,

I don't understand why you are ignoring Gore's strongest card, which is the tampered absentee ballot applications.

We are still in the early innings of this game.

John, <The exception, IMHO, is the Secretary of State. Which is too bad>

If you read the letters sent to the Sec'y, you would understand why she rejected their recount proposals. Not one of them mentioned the RESULTS of the sample county recount process. One or two of them mentioned they did a 3-sample precinct count but then just said that, based on the results, they wanted to count the whole county.

Thats akin to saying, since the wind was blowing from the east, we want to recount the county. No statistical evidence or proof whatsoever. If someone is trying to weigh the relative weight to be given to two Florida laws, they need to be given the probability that a recount will affect the outcome.

Re: "I think that a (rare) neutral observer would conclude that the Florida folks have been non-partisan, especially the local election boards. The exception, IMHO, is the Secretary of State. Which is too bad"

Funny that you see the SOS as partisan when she was following the law yet you don't see the FSC as partisan when they invented law. I guess we're still looking for that rare neutral observer.
