Chalu2, our founding fathers deliberately made the Judiciary the weakest branch. They can only interpret, not create out of nothing. You have made them the strongest branch as has been the case too much during the last 30 years...

Redress from the legislature is available during any election, as well as challenges to Federal courts.

Soon after the Civil War started, Lincoln suspended habeas corpus. The USSC, headed by Chief Justice Tawney, a South Carolinian, ruled that Lincoln that Lincoln's decree was unconstitutional and struck it down. Lincoln and his administration simply ignored the ruling.

And somehow the Republic survived (at least) another 140 years.

Respect for the courts as the final word--even if sometimes we don't like their decisoons--is the bedrock of a stable republic.

Respect must be earned, not granted by fiat. If the Judiciary does not act responsibly, but rather like a political/partisian tool, well, we'll have chaos indeed.
