Thanks Mark, ande thanks Cow.

I haven't installed eaither one yet(have been physically under the weather a lot). But I was planning on doing something over the weekend.

You say:
you know what i'm going to ask, don't you? what does dell support say about this prob? have you called them?

imo, this is the kind of thing they should be all over.

I tried calling Dell support a few months ago when I had a problem with my note book. You've got to be kidding, right? Have you ever gotten a warm body on the other end of the phone with them?

Their idea of support is to run you around punching numbers on the phone. That's what they call trouble shooting I guess. Just run them around and around; after about an hour, they'll hang up. I did twice or three times after about 20 minutes of punching numbers. SCREW them. I like their computers, but their cust service, IMO leaves a lot to be desired.

On the side note, the problem with my NoteBook was that the screen got busted(don't ask-pretty colors though). Once I did talk to a person about it, a woman after punching many different numbers. She told me there would be nothing Dell could do to repair the mach9ine and would likely have to be replaces, but she connected me to a tech support number where I had to punch more numbers until I finally did hang up.

I strapped up the puter with a heavy rubberband and took it to work and gave it to one of our computer gods(who actually put in the C.A.R. for it). He called me the next morning and said it was just shipped to Dell and would be fixed and returned with in a week. Go figure.
