By the way, the moves after hours in the Spoo compared to the SPX must have skewed your database compared to mine, I would think.

The INTC warning Thursday and the Election stuff Friday would make the swings on Spoo much wilder than SPX, no?

It was happening to me also on the demo version, when the quotes locked the open orders just sat there waiting for the price to change to execute. Seems other sites had some connection issues as well, maybe it's the web? Not a real good situation when connections are suspect and having money on the line. Probably best, as you did, to just do nothing. Booters said it doesn't happen very often to IB and when I hear others mention IB, most of the feedback is positive, except some concerns lately with the new java version. Thanks for letting me know your experience, cuz I was getting frustrated thinking it was only me and maybe it something I was doing wrong. Have you ever call them to phone in a order, did they pick up the phone within a min? and execute the order quickly afterward? Just in case, I'm wondering.

Enjoy 2day
