Do you have the Gore book? There's something odd-seeming about that quote. If you have the book, would you tell us what the context is? What specific Christians does he mean by "these Christians"? What's he talking about? What is he purporting that "these Christians" are doing, or not doing, or supporting, or whatever, that is a "dangerous threat to the survival of humanity"? That is a very bizarre and inflammatory claim, and not at all the sort of thing politicians ordinarily say right out even if they have such thoughts. Also, the final sentence is weird -- "They are the blight on the environment and to believe in Bible prophecy is unforgivable." It's not a sentence, or not a normal sentence. Something is missing. Why is he saying that "to believe in Bible prophesy is unforgivable"? And why is he saying it as the end of a sentence the beginning of which is a statement on a different subject? There isn't even a comma there. Isn't it weird?! What can you tell us about it?

He is either the aC or the one who brings him to power. His organization, Share International, is mainly funded by the United Nations folks...

Frank your "Notorious Quote of the Day" is a lie. I see that there are many responses to it, and most posters accepted it as true. I assume you posted it innocently, but I was at the library this afternoon and have the book here, now. I also put the quote into a search engine and came up with three Christian websites using the same quote, same page number, as though it were actually a statement made by Al Gore. One of these is probably where you picked it up. This lying site claims to expose the "lies and the liars": thecoldhardtruth.homestead.com This page gives the quote, too, under "Apostates," subheading "Gore on Chrstians." domaintrader2000.com In includes these loony comments: Every so-called "believer" in YAHSHUA YAHWEH who votes for or supports Al Bore is apostate and or backslidden! There are NO exceptions!!! Every so-called "believer" who voted for or supported Sicko Willie and Hitlery is also apostate and or backslidden! There can be NO exceptions!!! There is a link offered on the Apostates list as a source for the quote, but when you click on it, you get "Not Found." The source of the link is given as "Pastor Bob Hallstrom." (I suspect it is "Not Found" because Pastor Bob was caught out in the lie often enough that he removed the lying quote from his website.) I then did a search for Pastor Bob, who is, as near as I can tell, the originator of the lie that on page 342 of the Gore book one will find that outrageous, and peculiarly illiterate, quote that you posted. (I knew it was a lie because it was illiterate, which Gore is not, and because of a politician would not say it, and Gore is a politician.) Yep, Pastor Bob was lying, and successfully spreading the lie. Imagine how many individuals have done what you did, Frank, and credulously pasted that lie all over the net. I searched the index and found no leads to a quote remotely like the one you give. Page 342 of Gore's book has nothing whatever to do with the topic of religion. I turned every page of the book looking for any section that might discuss such a subject, and found one in which Christian prophesy is mentioned. The page is 263, and, and the quote would be there if it were anywhere. I will provide the quote, if someone is interested, that I suspect the lying quote was made up out of. It is not surprising that the wrong page number is given, as the lie would be immediately discovered. Frank, Al Gore is clearly a very religious man, and is, incidentally, not an illiterate, as was the author of the lying quote. Don't get me wrong. I am not a Gore fan. Nor am I a fan of this boring, pedantic book. It's just that the quote you provided was a lie. I'm now going to post a bit more about Pastor Bob, the one I suspect of being the originator of a lie that is still being disseminated.
