Perhaps you didn't read the dissenting opinion of the chief justice of the court who said there was no basis in FLorida law for what they did ?

At least 3 of them apparently know the law. I've read all the opinions myself from the outset. Based on well settled rules of appellate procedure and my reading of the statutes, etc., I projected the outcome almost exactly as articulated by the dissenting Justices. I'm afraid that the majority's opinion doesn't cut it, by constitutional standards or otherwise. The real question is whether the USSC and/or 11th Circuit will acknowledge the federal issues and act. It's going to get more interesting.

Since you label yourself a clear-minded individual, can you explain to us who have the misfortune of having limited faculties what was the purpose of the November 26th (5:00 PM) set by the Florida Supreme Court? Why did they not simply say go out and recount all the votes and submit them once you're done regardless of how long it takes?
