i accept your standard deviation/error stats-

but

if a candidate receives X % of the vote,
wouldn't said candidate receive the SAME X % of the errors?
(certainly all errors do not go in one direction)

and

the result therefore be acceptable

?

the heisenberg theory

in quantum physics, which addresses the principle of uncertainty given chaos and complexity would explain why the statistical deviations on the consecutive counts and recounts would lead to increasingly less accurate mathematical certainty in which to evaluate the information and would lead to arbitrary and less than precise method of rational measurement on each successive count. the error rate of each type of balloting machine was known and accepted before this election and the error rate of a handcount increases with number of ballots and number of ballot judges, far exceeding the error rate of the machines. therefore, taking the first or second machine count would be the preferable method of deduction both mathematically and scientifically. i don't usually post on politics but did want to add my two cents. she
