LOL Blacks do not have a very good record in choosing their role models or leaders. They bypass those who could lead them to where they want to be and follow those who assist in keeping them where they do not like to be. Maybe one day they will wake up, drop the Afro and just become Americans, instead of defending lawlessness and crime choose instead to chastise those in their racial family who commit unlawful and immoral acts, choose to assist in creating family units, go away from social promotions without merit, work to make neighborhoods safe and secure and cease having a blind eye to crime and failure to maintain the neighborhood in an orderly and clean fashion.
In my opinion, if they would take proactive steps in addressing these issues we would make a major step toward parity and becoming one people. People like J.C. Watts, Justice Thomas, Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, and many others out there are the proper leaders to admire. Rev. Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Lewis Farakhan are to be rejected as leaders. I truly believe we can prevail and develop a society that is color blind but first we have to look forward and not backward and make changes that are material and really solve problems rather than making demands without proactive action in the neighborhood.

I know some blacks who don't like him because he married a white woman. It didn't strike me as a logical argument.

"Calling it like it is. He is viewed as a complete incompetent in the black community"

...because he said quite clearly that he does not ascribe to the victim philosophy prevalent in the "black community." Whatever that is.
