I hear McDonalds has Assistant Manager positions available.

DS,

as the facts come to light in the months ahead

I voted for Gore and I don't think it will ever be possible to know the facts about this election. Our system isn't currently capable of accurately measuring the votes. If our government is made of true leaders, we won't have that problem four years from now, hopefully not two years from now. If the country is divided, perhaps the unification should begin with the citizens' overwhelming demand of both parties that they fix the method of casting and tabulating votes.

I, for one, do believe that as the facts come to light in the months ahead, we will see that the argument that Gore was elected by the majority of the people and that Bush was selected by the majority of the politicians is credible.

I am willing to live with this for 4 years because it was a failure of the system rather than a coup. What must happen, however, is that the system that failed to provide a government by the people this time needs some repair before we use it again.

I found your comments to be uncommonly intelligent, sane, and balanced. You could give Id lessons, here.

I think the best thing to come from this debacle will be an improvement on the mechanics of voting. The machinery, the process, etc. Plus, I think people will have a clearer idea of how important voting is, and why their one individual vote may really be important.

I guess, for just over another month, there will be some who prefer to call GW "President select" rather than "President elect".
