It should be totally clear from the impeachment of President Clinton that the process is indeed political. If it were otherwise, lying under oath in a federal court and to a federal grand jury would be sufficient grounds for removal from office. Clinton and his associates managed to convince the American people that the case was only about sex, and therefore there was no broad public outcry among the masses for his removal for perjury.

And that means you had best come up with something good
Either the charges have to be solid, or the political majority has to be solid.

I notice the Republicans are touting Gore for President of Harvard. It would seem they want to make him comfortable before he starts knocking on Junior George's door.
