Cleanest interface, one click trade: Peregrine (FMC) BESTDirect (direct Globex over FIX API)

Specifically electronic trading, no frills, no trills: Rosenthal & Collins (clearing house) RCG-Direct browser based (direct Globex over FIX API)

Do you know the minimum account size and the cost per trade for these two? I am zeroing in on them.

Thanks.
Scott

With respect to the fill times on Best, I received this in mid-November and happened upon it while clearing out mail.

arcfutures is the coquest's new name, the have arcfutures, arcsecurities, arcproducts, etc etc etc. They use lfg, adm, refco, and pfg as firms. PFG has a superior platform and works well. Kelli uses PFG if you want to get info from her too, she went to them well before others. She trades so fast, she has to have a good platform. She likes it. That is what I can tell you.

Kelli is one of those people who trades many, many times during the day. If her fills are slow she would not use the platform. She migrated from LeoWeb to use the Best interface.

Just an observation. The source who sent the e-mail is reliable.

Thank you for your comments.

After taking time to visit them recently in Chicago, I am in the process of moving several accounts to PFG, and was curious if you knew of any issues that I had not been aware of.

I'll keep you abreast of any findings I have, being either positive or negative.

Again thanks for your time.

Happy New Year,

Regards,

nextrade!

I was using Best 5.16 and it was down all the time. I like the interface if it can stay up in running. Is BestDirct a different software, I think there is also new version 6.0
How is the TWS java based one from Interactive Brokers.
What kind of setup do we need to trade s&p futures. I think
we need a DSL line or fractional T1 interent connection, explorer 5.0, realtick 111 with realtime quotes for s&p charts and other indeces, hyperfeed or esignal data feed.
2 computers atleast, 1 for interent and other one for charts
so around $10,000 investment on hardware and software to trade from home. any better programs out there.

thanks

To any one that has used Lind Waldock.

Is there anyone here that uses LW and likes them? Is there anyone that does not like them here that has used them and why? I want to open a futures account to start scalping them. Is the LW interface good enough for this???? How are the executions? Anything else one could add. Initially I want an account that uses a web interface and without software due to reasons I will not get into here. IS there a better option out there? I already have all the real time data and charts in my trading office so this is not an issue for me.

Thanks in advance,
PDT
