hi scarecrow,

wow, that's an eye-opener. i have to wonder what the heck the benefit is of owning a hard drive that can't be backed up?

sorry our suggestions were not useful. i guess i need to know more about 1394 drives.

good luck

:)

I do not know if this would work but...

can you place all the files you wish to backup into one folder?

I can't see Drive Image not writing to that drive. I would try it, but if you restore the image, better do a back up in case something goes haywire.

I store my backup images on a separate hard drive, devoted to holding back up data only.

The way I have my system set up with Drive Image and 2 hard drives, is rock solid secure in the case of hard drive failure.
