the things I do to impress and HELP the acting thread guru ... sheeeeeeeesh .... ok .. cheeseheadedONE first off .... always close a window -- never pull down a bookmark on an existing screen ... that will save some mem second ... get rid of those backgrounders ... DO IT third ... if you really like having those dang things cluttering up and demanding ALL those resources .... GET another BOX and have two .... here is what I have on this old clunker CPQ right now ...ControlAltDelete shows that I have the following ... and at one time, maybe NOT now granted, I had decided that this was the min I could delete and not get Mare riled up .... gggggg I'm showing 89percent free on boot and with Quote Com QCharts - Scalper SI Explorer Systray Rnaapp Vsstat Webscanx ThomasKinkadeScreenSaver System properties *(that is my checking screen for resources that I opened, not at start) AND I'm running 81 percent free ..... on 184 meg Ram .... good luck oh exalted ONE .... lil grasshopper
