Where do you get 30 - 35 % growth from?

I make $0.10 (99) to $0.12 (00) a growth rate of 20% - which is 29% of the PE.

Hi all,

I am a Sun long. Been following this thread for three years. First time I've heard so much bickering after an earnings report. Can't be good news.

Charlie

Hi Craig,

We've gone through this b.s. before in 1998. These analysts are completely full of sh**.

After Sun was left for dead in Microsoft's wake, they suddenly had a "change of heart" in late '98 & began upgrading Sun. It skyrocketed upward all the way until mid 2000. Back in 98 at 25% yoy growth rate was considered the target (an iffy one at that) when Sun wasn't even a $12billion company. Now Sun is 67% bigger as a company and net profit growth of 60% isn't good enough????

Now they are "worried" that Sun could become the next Dell???? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!

My advice is this: take advantage of the stock at this great discounted rate, you'll never see it again. Sun is on their way to $450-500billion cap and nobody is in the way to prevent it from happening, not even IBM.

I don't know what else people expect out of this company

I wish they could speed up Java. It doesn't run fast enough.

I'm happy with earnings though.

Cheers,

Mephisto.

Craig: I asked myself the same question on Friday and bought SUNW.
