What about the short term financial difficulty that the power distributors are experiencing?
The thing I think is sad about the scheme to have the state buy power and sell it at more "fair" rates is that the delta will come from the taxpayers. There goes the incentive to conserve.

Hi ahhaha; History is only supposed to rhyme, and not repeat, but this sure smells of the beginnings of the energy shortages of the 70s.
