Bushism of the Day!!

"The California crunch really is the result of not enough power-generating plants and then not enough power to power the power of generating plants."--Interview with the New York Times, Jan. 14, 2001

I don't feel Clinton was far left enough. Do I count?

I would have loved to have seen Nadar become President. The guy has guts. His victory against GM years ago proved that. This country would be well served with a consumer rights and human rights activist like Nadar as President. Moreover, Nadar is a lover of high tech and the internet.

Nadar knows that there is nothing higher nor more beautiful than a human being.

PS I support free enterprise for the sake of profit. In that respect, I'm a capitalist. But I see no contradiction in providing a humanistic service or running a business that serves the human good and making a nice fat profit.

Welcome to the LWP, jbe:

There are liberals of all shades here. It's a refuge for all of us who think of ourselves as left-leaning to be able to talk without having to argue with the right. We have an annex (the Boxing Ring, referenced in the header) that is unmoderated and where there are some great discussions going on . Personally, I'm finding the terms liberal and conservative more and more confusing. I'm a moderate on some issues, a raving lefty on others.

Anyway, please feel free to post.

I mean, are there no Naderites, at least, on SI? (Not to speak of socialists, anarchists, even communists?) What about a good old-fashioned Wobbly or two? Just to get some sparks flying?

Voted for Nader...so did my brother. We took alot of heat for it but we did it....it was funny because we don't see each other that often.
