Sorry but I have no pity for the farmers. We have spent billions every year so they could try and do it. I say make it like Welfare, you get 3 years to make or break and then you find another line of work. If we weed out the non productive farms, we will be left with the good ones only, there won't be a glut of products anymore and the remaining farmers will be able to make a living on their own since prices will be higher due to the supply being equal to the demand.

I know I have the unpopular view but we have to be realistic. It is like saying that the government should bail us all out no matter what. Does the government basil out unsuccessful day traders, small businesses that go under at an alarming rate etc.?

Get rid of the excess and the remaining ones will be able to make a living on their own.

Anyone know how the whole repo/coupon pass thing works from administration to administration? I am curious if there is a chance the tap could be turned off now that GW is in and Billy Boy is out.
