First thing they teach you in medical school is to "do no harm". I read a statistic once that stated that 25% of those under treatment of a doctor are being treated for complications brought on by treatment.

The FED isn't fixing the economy as much as they are attempting to fix their own mistakes.

This high demand for liquidity could also be a sign that current income cannot finance the current debt load without constantly rolling over debt, which would be very bad.
