Just so everyone will know, my company is in the process of having the largest jan sales of our history, we did have a terrible dec. but now I need to add 3 new employees and expand my purchasing of inventory. So all is not down in the retail business if fact it is looking up. I know I am just one more small business but my outlook is becoming brighter each and every day since Jan 2. Think the big business will start to see upturn also if Greenspan and Bush will do their job.

Too bad the company didn't say that the layoffs were due to increased automation and manufacturing productivity.



On the conference call, the co. said they were using off-shore mfg. more than previously, I believe in China. The layoffs of temporary workers could also have to do with overlap in SDL products.
