Why strengthen one "monster" and not weaken the other "monster"." << Here is the dilemma, if you succeed in dissipating the undisciplined ego (or regular ego), you are also dissipating the need to trade as well. After all, isn't it because of the need of our regular ego that we trade at all? Trading successfully brings financial reward. Financial reward satisfies our regular ego by getting what it want thru the power of money. "Wanting" is why we trade at all! And "wanting" is what formed the essence of our regular ego! So, where are we? Oh yeah... back to square one... If we cannot rid our regular ego due to our need to trade, then we may just as well work with our regular ego. How are we going to do that!!?? Training! We train our regular ego and change a part of it into a disciplined ego. Then when we trade, we will tap into our disciplined ego. Yeah, right! Not easy! . Whoever said it is easy? I don't think the bodybuilder has it easy to build up those muscle mass... Training our thought and redirect its energy to the positive side is what we need to do when trading. Think positive! Think tactics! Other than that, don't think. just watch... just react (not emotionally!)... just flow... and when your regular ego decided to voice an opinion due to hindsight... kindly acknowledge it and redirect your thought back to positive thoughts... that you need to look for the next setup, that you're good, that you are successful... that you're developing into a great trader... and don't ever, EVER, get into an argument with your regular ego. You are never gonna win.... just acknowledge it and redirect your thought back to positive thoughts... that you need to look for the next setup, that you're good, that you are successful... that you're developing into a great trader... and the cycle continues.... From fear to greed, greed to fear, end of cycle. New cycle, hopefully with less intensity , from fear to greed, greed to fear, end of cycle. Another cycle, hopefully with even lesser intensity , from fear to greed, greed to fear, end of cycle... and so on until you reach the point where fear and greed are in balance... where the amount of fear is offset by the same amount of greed... suddenly, you just trade what you see, no longer what you think... for you will have mastered the art of acknowledging your thinking without giving its much energy.... suddenly, you are trading like a true master..... that is, until you lose your bearing and fall back to either too much fear or too much greed. And the whole process begin once again... a never ending journey.... Now, isn't trading FUN? Cheers!
