Wily,

Thanks for the info. And AMD thinks they can make money selling microprocessors. ;^)

Wily,

Of course, I doubt that this is what GWB is thinking.

Oilmen consider natural gas to be a dangerous nuisance. One spark can destroy a drilling operation, and they do everything they can to get rid of that nasty stuff.

BTW: Did you ever hear about that great project they did in the San Juan Basin about 1964, where they enhanced Natural gas recovery by blowing up a nuke in the middle of a low-permeability formation??

You didn't even need to ignite the gas to light up the room. I remember feeling the ground shake from that experiment designed by our nation's brightest scientists.

Why should it be up to the POTUS to think about liquifying gases? What's stopping from this company bidding on the project, or actually, make their technology part of the government proposal, since the way you described it, it seems very environmentally friendly, and at the same time providing resource, and making money for the company.

Wily Re..Rentech (RTK), a Denver, CO company hopes to use their gas-to-liquids (GTL) technology to convert waste and stranded natural gas (and many other types of solid, liquid and gaseous hydrocarbon materials) to liquid, synthetic fuels and lubricants. <<<<<

Sorry, I had somehow passed up your original post, but when you replied to Joe I looked it up. Thanks for confirming what I was saying. It sounds like they have a mobile unit. Do you know anything about it, and at what price is it economical. Is the resulting gas LNG or is it a non pressurized gas.
