I think it's OK sometimes because the U.S. Constitution foresaw that in one of the amendments.

Sometimes? Which times? Who decides? Obviously not the Government. What happens when one person's just cause seems less than just to the people caught in the resulting crossfire?

If somebody gets pissed off about paying taxes, do they have a right to take a pop at the local IRS person?

Does a religious cult have the right to blow away federal marshals enforcing a law that the cult doesn't like?

Do urban crack dealers have a right to fire on cops enforcing drug laws that the crack dealers dislike?

Would you want to live in a place where anybody who's upset at the government can pick up a gun and blaze away?
