If your response to the Rich travesty is disappointment then you should turn in your class warfare badge. The appropriate response is outrage that a supper rich bastard was able to buy his freedom from the President of the United States.

And if you can only muster a flaccid disappointment over letting a drug cartel kingpin free, turn in your human race badge too.

A President doesn't have to give a reason for a pardon, but selling pardons is illegal. As far as I'm concerned there is no comparison to the Nixon pardon. I supported Ford then and I still do. I wish Bush had not pardoned Weinberger and others but I won't second guess him either. The main diference here is the appearance of giving pardons for $$$. That's different in my book although I agree that if no smoking guns develop very quickly it is best to move on. JLA
