Ed Larkin,, Re: Pat Mudge, your investing ,your memory and the facts:

Several points Ed for you to take note of:
=================================

A) I believe you have bigger worries than JDSU, with QLT drop.

siliconinvestor.com

Message 15069424
" This thing is looking grim to me too. A cure for blindness and the price drops like a stone.
The best interpretation I can see is that the drop makes no sense logically and the longer term
situation will unfold when the next earnings are reported. If they are OK so are we--
if not we are in trouble big time long time.

"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, I don't know where you get your investing advice but you

have been very sadly misled.

For example, here is your comment on NN:

Message 15424649

" Despite the switches Newbridge dropped from about $45 to 28 and

I believe has disappeared.
"

Comment:
============

NN went to 14 from 63. Pat Mudge a long time investor and bull
bailed out disgusted at 16, after investing for ~>2 years:

Message 11789139
" I also sold my position this morning at 16 "
and lost money in it
Pat "

Message 11807826
" I have not been able to get out before warnings and
the losses I've taken in this last trip down are painful enough
Pat
"

Then Ed, Pat went further on to apologize for the
advice she had previously given out to invest in NN:

Message 11802663
" My only regret is that anyone might have lost money because
I believed Newbridge could be great. For that I deeply apologize.
Pat
"

Some were cruel to Pat:
Message 11811406
" Ian Stormberg ,Perhaps you were being cute by your
choice of words but this time they were far from humorous.
Kindly do you plies on someone else's tombstone.
Pat
"

I was kind to Pat , even as others made cruel remarks to her,
and told her she did not need to apologize:

Message 11814289
" Pat you don't have to apologize.
NN should have hired you as their PR and to run
the company's morale dept. and the " how to get things done " dept.
TA
"

Many of us then went on ( and I was one ) , and loaded up the boat from 21 to 26 .
Message 11908473
"Ian , decided to take the plunge. I bought back all my
previous large position at 21.
TA
"

I even urged Pat to get back in it:
Message 11912284
" Pat, glad you are back.
I wish you would reconsider investing in NN
TA
"

But Pat analyzed the situation
Message 11956121
and bailed out
Message 11956227
" I'm out as of this morning.
Pat
"

The subsequent story is that
==================================
NN finally was acquired by ALA last year at an exchange
price of ~ 45 as I remember for a 0.8 ALA for 1 of NN share.
ALA then doubled from 42 to 82 .

NN was a 3 - 4 bagger for many of us.

=========================================================

So Ed, these are the facts instead of fiction for you:
NN is now part of ALA, a great company.

What you need to do now Ed is

-recheck your sources for investing advice

-read past historical posts so that

a) you can learn something
b) you will not look as uninformed and naive as you now appear

-get out of loosing medical stocks such as this QLT. Biotech is the next one to crash
to unbelievable lows.

-save yourself some cash

- and last butnot least, save me some time from having
to constantly correct posters' fiction and fantasies from facts.

cheers
