Harvey,

I'd love to watch the Intel trucks loading up at the fabs and moving all the chips to the warehouse.

What I wonder about is how many non 1 GHz parts are produced as a byproduct for each 1 GHz part, and what happens with those.

Joe

Re: "I just bought a 1200 TBird and it's week 9, 2001. That means that there is only two weeks supply in the channel and we'll soon be seeing real shortages. "

Oh really ?

You are forgetting of course that the 1.2 GigaHumper never GOT to the channel until about WW 09 -= after the AMD paper launch last October.

Re: "I'm getting 1450MHz from my 1200 TBird"

No kidding !!

I'm impressed !!

And just what can you do at 1450 MHz that is so important that 1200 MHz isn't fast enough?

Harvey,

"I'm getting 1450MHz from my 1200 TBird."

Absolutely great!! Congratulations! My Athlon 1200 runs stable only up to 1300 MHz at 1.75v (9 x 145 = 1305).

Enjoy!

Peter
