Srexley, I don't think that one can express an informed opinion unless one studies all the details. The market place is a very efficient method of regulation of supply and demand and price. To me deregulation along with environmental retards pushing regulation based on no cost benefit other than zealous stop it whatever reasoning is a big part of the pickle in America's energy problem. If 48% of those who voted were retarded enough to vote for lying sack of dung gore then it's clear to me that a very large majority of American's are just to stupid to understand that nuclear power is the answer. Until such time as that occurs America as spun by techno retards, mostly liberal idiots will live in a land of rolling darkness.

<<<I am against gov't regulation for the most part, but it seems to work for the power companies>>>

It seems that government regulation should work for telephones also. After deregulation it was a bit of a mess, but now I can make a long distance call for $.04 a minute. That is quite an improvement. I also remember when you could only have a black telephone company phone. Now look what is available. How anyone can believe that government regulation is advisable is beyond my comprehension.

Did you know that because of Jerry Brown and the Dems that Californians were paying 50% more for electricity than the rest of the US before their latest scheme?

Here are some great links if you want to educate yourself on the benefits of electricity deregulation and why the CA scheme was doomed from the start:
