Most statists aren't Stalins or Hitlers. Problem is that by pursuing their policies of ever more powerful and intrusive government they are laying the ground work for then next one that shows up. Geez, can all of the reasonable people on this thread please agree that Stalinist Communism is as far from the Democratic Party as Hitler Nazism is from the Republican Party?

Ys Kevin I agree with your statement. However just as the liberals are very fond of stating their fears of the religious right, it is high time that conservatives counter with a reminder of where the extremes of compassion and redistribution can lead do. Also I have always liked Jerry Brown. I may usually disagree with him but I never would believe that he would want to harm anyone or that he is corrupt.
