<This Gold Price Monitor thread on Silicon Investor has no other item more on-topic in the gold markets that the activities of GATA.>

I see you've grown more totalitarian as each frustrating day passes. As the GATA lawsuits get dismissed by the Federal Government, a great noose will be taken off the gold market, providing a possible unique opportunity for it to rally.

GATA is the sour grapes that comes along near the end of a long vicious Bear Market. Nothing unusual about this. The Lawsuits will mount in equity land too as that Bear deepens. But talk is cheap in a court of Law. Proof not speculation is required to convict, especially when these markets are rife with speculation to begin with.

Sounds to me like GATA has not been able to inspire any whistle blowers to come forth.

The problem with GATA is that it assumes what needs to be proved.

Wouldn't it be ironic if GATA itself gets counter sued for defamation of character of the companies in question? Then the rank and file of GATA may lead a mutiny against the GATA head honchos.

Judging from your posts, it sounds to me GATA needs some independent critical thinkers on its staff.<ggg>

(tv Nightline) Foot & Mouth - Could It Happen Here?(usa)

From: listeditor@abcnews.go.com (Nightline)

TONIGHT'S SUBJECT:

Foot and Mouth Disease is crippling European farmers
as it travels from farm to farm. But has America done
enough to block the disease at the border?

Are we at risk?

... not only could it happen, but it has happened.

In 1924 California was hit with a terrible outbreak
of Foot and Mouth Disease.....

... the U.K. had strong surveillance, too,
and it has been overwhelmed by Foot and Mouth.

... economic impact is enormous.

... how food ends up on your dinner table
... the complex and vulnerable industry that brings it.....

GATA hopes that it will be successful and contribute to the undoing
of those hardships inflicted onto the people of Africa as a direct result
of the collapse of their gold mining industry as the price of gold
has been manipulated in a criminal manner to remain under a price
to allow their nation to care for itself.
