hi chip

yes, this is a good place to ask an excel question. unfortunately, i am not a good person to try to answer one. <g3> however, i have seen excel topics bandied about here, and i am confident that a thread member will see your question and stop in to assist you.

meanwhile, you can try searching the thread for excel topics and perhaps that may lead to a link or some other viable solution.

:)

If I knew how to write Excel macros, I'd write one to multiply each entry by -1.

Too bad I don't remember how to do macros. :-(

Chip

If your numbers are in column A, insert a new column to the right of it and use the formula "=A*-1" and in your new column -1234 will appear as 1234. Copy the formula and paste it in all the way down the column.
