In general, J2EE and application server markets are too crowded, too many players. BEAS is too expensive and stock price is way high.

Sun isn't a competitive threat in the space. It really boils down to BEA or IBM and BEA leads the space.

What did the CEO from BEA say?

"We recently hired five vice presidents from IBM. These guys aren't leaving because they're [IBM] winning."
