. Adults can watch porn on their home computer if they want to. Michael, one more time. I don't want adults looking at porn on computers in the library. I don't particularly want them looking at it in their homes. I don't think the availability of porn is in any way an asset to society and I wish there were none of it. My point is that the software blocks legitimate material, not just porn. I don't want to deprive people who don't have computers in their homes of the ability to do the same kind of research that I can do unless there's some compelling reason to do so. I don't think that making a small dent in the amount of porn available to kids is a sufficiently compelling reason to deprive people who can't afford their own computers of potentially life-saving information. Well, why are people so worked up about porn? Some people like and some don't. Those that like it will find a way to get it, just like people who like to smoke or like alcohol or like to go to church find a way to quench their desire. Censorship is a violation of individual freedom and once censorship is allowed on any level then it is easy to escalate it into mandating how people should act and think. So my view on porn is so what, those that want can have it, those that hate it should look the other way.
