RE "Tech stock becomes value play?"
Forgive my bluntness, but I do not consider a company with serious liquidity problems,
that losing billions, as a "value play". I like my "value plays" to not have a possible
bankruptsy on the horizon!!!

John,

wouldn't that exclude intangibles like...... patents

Patents are on the balance sheet at cost....

Plus, it doesn't matter how many patents a company has since about 1 out of a 100 patents actually is worth something. What matters is what a company does with its patent portfolio.

NCR is suing PALM and Handspring for patent infringement. We might see a wave of infringement suits by Lucent, however, that costs money to retain lawyers, etc.
