Zolt,
What won world war II, was the atomic bomb. Of course, we were on the way to winning it anyway, but the power of those two blasts surely saved a lot of American, and Japanese, lives, even though a lot of Japanese were killed in them. A ground battle for Japan would have cost them in every city, instead of just two.

Where did you dream this up? So, you would have had us maintain 25% unemployment, and literally let people die in the streets. You would have ignored the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor, and would have let Hitler get the atom bomb first.

Good thing you weren't at the helm, or we'd all be Sieg Heiling.
