a letter went out telling service stations to expect $3.00 gas in california this summer. it was a big gas provider that sent it.

hey, these companies are ready for their dot-com like run ups. after all, at least they have an actual business model!

the economy is going to crash.

My younger sister (the one who lives in Santa Barbara) and I aren't speaking again - we got into a fight about the Cali ute crisis last week - she's taking the Flatsville line, only worse - she's arguing that "profiteers" should be prosecuted as criminals and put in jail. This is apparently a common sentiment out there.
