Well, let's see: The problem is too little power and not enough gasoline, plus the crude price is over $20, a good cheap oil/expensive oil benchmark. Someone proposes building power plants and refineries, and extracting more oil. And you find him nutty. Do you wonder at all why I believe liberalism as we know it is doomed in the long run?

As for your math professor friend, is he one of the almost unanimous academics who assured us in the mid-70's that-no matter what-we couldn't POSSIBLY have enough crude for a fossil fuel-based economy by 2000? Or was he just an under-achieving but loyal student of those fuzzy-headed idiots of 25 years ago?

Conservation and alternate renewable sources are the answer for the future. Nothing else will do the trick..........

As soon as the stupid liberals understand that there are millions of Americans that simply WILL NOT be talked to this way, the better.

I defer to CYBERKEN's response. As he does, I remember the academic projections that showed economic disaster by now if we continued a petroleum economy.

Remember The Club of Rome? "The Limits To Growth"? How wrong do you want to be?

Dear delly, I went back read some of your posts. I'm an engineer and my opinion is that you have the opinion of the generic vacant liberal minded techno retard. That means you are a clueless nitwit with little to no understanding of technology. You mind is well programmed with greeney google goop.

Have you read any of the President Energy plan? Of course not. You prefer to have your head of your butt and read who knows what. Although from you posts I might conclude you have read nothing. So if you needs some links to some facts.
watman.com

If you want to waste you time searching for technology info to support your cluelessness then my watman.com has pointer to many references.

You are free of course to post you no facts techno retard opinions, but you vacant liberal minded babble speak is boring.

now maybe you would like to try nrel.gov as a start and then look into what a quadrillion BTU's is in hot air.
For conversions you can you my as in "My Tom's Energy Guide " watman.com

Now you no what a hundred roles of toilet paper cost and If you had to pay 100 dollars a roll then because the cost of energy to produce them increased them that much, well my guess is you would use a sears robuck catalog.

Of course the guests at a hotel might frown on such practices.

just the facts and the brutal truth you all have a nice day now hear.
