I actually like Bob's list even though I've only used a few of the names. It's obviously well conceived, has some real gems included, and avoids the overpriced large cap sector. IMO Bob is going to leave money on the table because he's not bullish enough on POG, but the guy can sniff out mining stocks as well as anybody on these threads. His list is not quite as "venture oriented" as mine, but may be more suited to the average PM sector investor.

"I reserve the right to be wrong"

The only future event I can predict with 100% accuracy is I am going to be wrong again. I can only hope I admit it quickly, overcome my ego, and get out with minimum losses. Half of investing is making money, th other half is capital preservation.

RE: IAMGOLD

Management owned a big piece of IAMGOLD, so you can't blame them for freeing up some cash. It might hold the stock down short-term, but it looks OK longer term.

RE: The portfolio you mentioned

I just listed the gold stocks. Some of the other mining stocks I liked (Aber, Cameco, Cominco, Sherrit, Teck, Sons of Gwalia) did OK. I guess I have diamonds, uranium, lead, nickel, copper, and tantalum covered.
