<Mani have you gone Long yet? What was your price to exit your Short position again?>

Mani is a brave soul to be short AMD. Any number of news items can gap the stock up leaving shorts in a mad scramble to cover. If one is negative on AMD, he should be buying puts instead, limiting the downside. Of course AMD options are very expensive because of its volatility.

Hi Milo, Re <<Mani have you gone Long yet? What was your price to exit your Short position again?>>

No I have not. AMD continues to be the little engine that could. It continues to swim against the stream. Pretty impressive.

I went short at 31.25 so I am even. Do not have a particular price point to cover. It sure is a true test of once patient to be short a company like AMD.

I just continue to think that this so called recovery is based on historic trends and has nothing to do with the actual happenings of the market. Economy is not showing any sign that is improving and Europe which has been AMD's strength is deteriorating. It also does not seem that AMD can continue to gain market share to make up for the deterioration in the overall PC market. SMP volume should be very low, but mobile should catch on by next quarter.

I don't understand this rally in the semi's. Eventually bad news will be interpreted as such.

Good luck,

Mani
