Harry, I think EMC could warn next week and send storage stocks lower so I am holding back for now. That's the only way I can explain the action in EMC, MCDT, BRCD, EMLX, etc.

Today's rise in optical stocks is a dead-cat bounce, IMO. They have turned from momentum stocks into value plays!

2075 is still tough to overcome. Needs some good news.

12:59 ET QUALCOMM (QCOM) 54.09 +1.59: Salomon Smith Barney saying that SK Telecom's mobile market share in S. Korea is now below 50%, ahead of its June 30 deadline, which will permit the company to aggressively market 1XRTT services after June 30; Salomon sees this as a positive for QCOM from a royalty basis (handset sales) and an ASIC basis (QCOM currently has the only 1X chipset on the market).

12:56 ET EXFO (EXFO) 18.07 +1.22 (+7.2%): Banc of America Sec. expects company to meet firm's Q3 estimates of $0.11 EPS and $42 mln revenue, with slight upside on the top-line; thinks bookings for the qtr could see some weakness from the general economic and telecom capex slowdown; firm reducing Q4 est. to $0.07 from $0.12 and FY02 to $0.30 from $0.60; lowering price target to $28.

12:31 ET Sonus Networks (SONS) 18.65 -0.88 (-4.5%): -- Technical -- Failure to sustain morning upside momentum and now back flirting with the bottom of its seven session trading range (18.36). Lackluster action over this time period is more typical of a temporary pause and not a short term trend reversal. A breakout would target the 17/16.50 zone. Based on already oversold daily indicators, there is potential for decent bounce if the breakout scenario does develop.
