this is absolutely shocking...$5,000 of equity left? once property prices tumble (and they will) they'll have negative equity...lose one of their jobs, and the road to delinquency and foreclosure beckons. but hey, he "just loves" his big TV and "likes to buy things"...

it's a sickness...and symptomatic of our age. what's most off-putting is the fact that the Fed is actually actively encouraging this type of recklessness.

I think you are mis-quoting.

It's "checks for free", not "chicks". Baby chickens are inexpensive (especially if purchased by the gross), but not free.
