An argument can also be made that it took a Republican majority on the FERC to stop the "gouging". Though what probably made the REAL difference was that Californians reduced electrical usage over 10% over last year.

Prices spiked last summer when the impeached Boy Blunder was still prez. They continued to spike last Fall. I see that failed CA Guv Davis refused to buy long when prices were low and just locked CA into LT prices well above the current market! No wonder Davis is the most despised politician in CA outside of Dem icon Condit.
