Don, I don't at this time, but what's the difference. What's the silly point that you are trying to make? After talking to the sales people at Best's, if I stood at the checkout counter I would know a lot of Rambus owners. When I'm ready for my next buy it may very well be a Rambus system, and my decision won't be based on price.

I have 1 RDRAM machine at home. I should have waited (as always). The pIII I bought after that (for work) is SDRAM and is fine or just as fine as the RDAM.

Basically both machines freeze up and work slowly when I am doing photo work and surfing at the same time.

BUT AS for the future.......RAMBUS only. Its time has come!

I do! I have a Precision 420 dual processor with .5 gigabyte of RDRAM. It is running NT and is very fast! Guess what? No problems with heat but I do have to use a forklift to move it around. :)

But if you bought a new P4 computer today, I'd say it's more likely than not that you'd pay an extra $50 for an RDRAM version.
