from the NY Times:

Arafat has also been traveling abroad this week on his own diplomatic offensive. He visited Jordan and Morocco, where he made new calls for international monitors to be sent to the region. Israel has repeatedly rejected the idea.

I wonder what they are trying to hide?

Tim re <<1 - Its not a simple predator prey relationship. Both sides are killing each other...So your comment doesn't really make sense.>>

Yes you are correct. My comment was just a smart-ass comment to an unclassy comment from a classy man (Yaacov).

Clearly Palestinians are at fault, but I do not share the view by most people on this thread that Israel is just defending itself and has to kill the Palestinians to survive.

I very much hold Israel partially responsible for the killing. Israel leaders continue to think that anywhere some Jews lived any time over the past 2000 years, belongs to them. Thus they keep expanding, and screw the Palestinians, they are not human, they completely a different species. I also blame the Palestinians to insist on getting land back and not compromise. But mostly blame leaders of both side for teaching hatred to their young and brewing it using propaganda any chance they get.
