And, how about those consumer debt numbers... They were down... At first the media, CNBC, seemed to be cheering this... But, a bell went off for me... If consumer debt was down, they weren't buying as much... If they weren't buying as much, retail sales would be down... A day later the Beige Book confirmed this... All you have to do is follow the dots... While residential real estate has been holding steady, commercial real estate is showing weakness... Commercial real estate weakness means business weakness... Business weakness means employees getting layed off or looking over their shoulder for that invitation into the boss' office... Following the dots, I don't like what I see...
