I think the story was that a lot of cocaine was consumed during filming. Though 1941 was supposed to be worse, even the master Spielberg couldn't keep that one under control.

Belushi and I (in an earlier part of my life) were neighbors and co-owned a beach on the Vineyard. I should say, his widow and I, though his presence was very much still in that house. His grave was not far away (also on the Vineyard) and people used to leave all sorts of interesting stuff on the stone.

I've heard lots and lots of interesting and sad stories about him from people up there. He's still missed.
