Amen to that. The Dems should have acted wks. ago and taken an aggressive stance with Gary, and got it cleaned up as soon as possible. It may be too late to do a lot of good. But it is a start.


Harry, I don't think anyone moves that quickly in these kind of issues...too many chances to make a mistake plus you're relying on hearsay. I am just grateful that Gebhardt had the cajones to say what needed to be said.

I think Gephardt miscalculated. Condit is no Clinton, not
even a shade of him.

He needs to act swiftly, or else the media is going to
be blowing it up. The ads are down, readership is down and,
unless there is some ghastly footage to show, the print
carries more punch. This is a gift from God - sex, lies, Washington and a missing young woman.

(ads are down so much that WSJ couldn't even find one for
page C2 last Friday. This must be a record.)
